High above Cedar City, Utah, along the western edge of the Markagunt Plateau, is Cedar Breaks National Monument. At an elevation of ten thousand feet, the park is open from June to October and even then the weather can be extreme. A 2000 foot deep, three mile circle of water and wind eroded pinnacles in spectacular colors, make the journey to the top worth while.
