Sonora Monsoon
For over three years, I have been watching the summer sky during the monsoon season. Besides the tremendous evening storm clouds, the monsoon has painted the sky in subtle colors and patterns that are a visual delight and make the hot damp rainy season more bearable.
In 2010, I decided to photograph those moments. I spent over four months shooting the sky morning and evenings collecting hundreds of exposures. Then I edited my collection down to twenty-four of the best images and gathered them to tell a story for an exhibition and subsequently this book.
