The desert can become a magical water wonderland. “I wonder where all that water came from?” All it has to do is rain. Because the slick rock sandstone doesn’t absorb water quickly, it runs off into the rivulets, washes and rivers. Sometimes dangerous, it can become flash floods and take cars, trucks and lives. In this case, the rain brought a small temporary waterfall that was gone the next day.
